Note: This should ideally be food that you could go back and get again -- and preferably that you have gone back and gotten again. Repeatedly. Also, this is food that if you died immediately after eating it, you would die happy.
Mine for New York (not in any order):
1. Pork bun at Momofuku Ssam
2. Pastrami on rye with mustard at Katz's Deli
3. Double Shackburger at Shake Shack
4. Porterhouse steak at Peter Luger
5. O-toro sushi at Blue Ribbon Sushi
Runners-up: prosciutto balls at Joe's Superette, thick-cut bacon at Peter Luger, beef marrow & oxtail marmalade at Blue Ribbon, crab and pork soup dumplings at Joe's Shanghai
