Just now I cracked an egg imperfectly, getting some eggshell in the pan, and yelped out loud, "I'm sorry!" to ... the egg? Myself? Sometimes I worry I'm spending too much time with myself.
Movies I want to see: The Artist, Hugo, Young Adult, Shame, Like Crazy, Martha Marcy May Marlene (whose title I can never remember, and therefore mention to people as "Mary Martha Whatever," and they always understand what I mean), Margin Call, and I'll admit I'm intrigued by Girl With the Dragon Tattoo -- I trust David Fincher -- even though I've never read the books. (Should I?)
Also this summer's documentary The Interrupters, which is coming out on PBS in early 2012, and I can't wait because it sounds brilliant. Directed by Steve James, guy who did Hoop Dreams. Highly acclaimed but left off the Oscars shortlist (Hoop Dreams was never nominated, either) because for some reason the Academy hates him.
Movies I sort of want to see but which sound super depressing: The Descendants, Melancholia, Take Shelter
Currently listening (on Spotify) to: The Wedding Present, a British band I'd never heard of before but which someone mentioned on Facebook. Kind of digging it.
